HT4JOBS TERMS OF USE

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the HT4Jobs website ("Site") and related services.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

1. About Us

HT4Jobs is a recruitment platform serving housebuilders, housing associations, private housing developers and local authorities from across the UK and built environment sectors.

The Site is owned and operated by Assemble Media Group Limited a publishing and events business operating industry-leading media brands and recruitment services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site.

By using the Site, you warrant that:

  • You have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
  • Any information you provide is accurate and complete.
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. User Accounts

To access certain services, you may be required to create an account.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • All activities conducted under your account.
  • Promptly notifying us of any unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

4. Jobseekers

Jobseekers may:

  • Search and apply for vacancies.
  • Create profiles and upload CVs.
  • Receive job alerts and recruitment communications where consent has been provided.

Jobseekers agree that:

  • Information submitted must be truthful and accurate.
  • CVs and profiles must not contain misleading information.
  • They will not use the Site for unlawful purposes.

HT4Jobs does not guarantee that any application will result in employment.

5. Employers and Recruiters

Employers and recruiters may:

  • Advertise vacancies.
  • Search candidate databases where access has been purchased.
  • Use recruitment tools made available through the Site.

Employers and recruiters warrant that:

  • They have authority to advertise the vacancy.
  • Job advertisements are genuine and lawful.
  • Vacancies comply with UK employment, equality and anti-discrimination legislation.
  • All information supplied is accurate and not misleading.

Employers must not:

  • Post fraudulent, misleading or discriminatory advertisements.
  • Advertise opportunities that are not genuine vacancies.
  • Harvest candidate data for unrelated marketing purposes.
  • Upload content that infringes third-party rights.

We reserve the right to edit, reject, suspend or remove any advertisement at our discretion.

6. Payments

Fees for recruitment products and services are displayed on the Site or agreed separately with customers.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • All fees are exclusive of VAT.
  • Payment is due in accordance with the invoice terms.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of services.

Fees paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Content Standards

Users must not upload, post or transmit any content that:

  • Is false, misleading or deceptive.
  • Is defamatory, offensive, abusive or unlawful.
  • Infringes intellectual property rights.
  • Contains viruses, malware or harmful code.
  • Promotes illegal activities.

We may remove content without notice if we believe it breaches these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Site, including:

  • Content
  • Branding
  • Logos
  • Design
  • Software
  • Databases

are owned by or licensed to HT4Jobs.

Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute or exploit any part of the Site without prior written permission.

By submitting content to the Site, you grant HT4Jobs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content for the purposes of operating and promoting the Site.

9. Candidate Data and CV Database Access

Where employers are granted access to candidate information:

  • Candidate data may only be used for genuine recruitment purposes.
  • Data must be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
  • Candidate information must not be sold, shared or used for unrelated marketing activities.

Any misuse may result in immediate termination of access.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Users agree to comply with all applicable data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites.

We are not responsible for:

  • The content of external websites.
  • Their availability.
  • Their privacy practices.
  • Any loss arising from their use.

Accessing third-party websites is at your own risk.

12. Availability of the Site

We aim to keep the Site available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

  • Guarantee employment outcomes.
  • Guarantee the suitability of any applicant or vacancy.

Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HT4Jobs shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of profits.
  • Loss of business.
  • Loss of opportunity.
  • Loss of data.
  • Indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • Any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HT4Jobs, its officers, employees and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and costs arising from:
